18^th Edition Amendment

Amendment 2 of the Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) were issued on 28th March 2022.

RCD

Introducing regulation 411.3.3 which relates to the RCD protection of socket-outlets up to 32A.

The use of Arc Fault Detection Devices (AFDD) have changed from being recommended to a mandatory use in specific installations.

Introducing regulation 443.4.1 which requires protection against transient overvoltages.
